Background and context

Punnet square was first proposed by R.Punnet. These are used to predict the outcome of different crosses. These can be conveniently used in predicting the outcome involving a maximum of three characters. When more than three characters are used, the punnet square analysis becomes difficult. In such cases, the probability method or forked line method is used to predict the outcome.
