It may be possible in the future to cure genetic disordersthrough genetically modifying individuals.For example, insertingfunctional copies of genes that are implicated in some forms ofinherited breast cancer, or silencing the broken allele in TREDs(such as Huntington disease or myotonic dystrophy).
