Background and context
The reproductive behavior of males and females is regulated by hormones. Hormones are the endocrine secretion that influences organs and tissues. The pituitary gland is the master endocrine gland that controls the secretion of other endocrine glands. The pituitary gland secretes three gonadotropin hormones such as FSH, LH, and ICSH (in the male). These gonadotropin hormones are released from the anterior pituitary by the influence of GnRH (Gonadotropin-releasing hormone) from the hypothalamus. The FSH, LH, put an impact on the ovary for ovulation.
