Background and context

In the kidney, nephron is found as the structural and functional unit which functions in the regulation of water concentration and the number of molecules like sodium salts. These molecules are found soluble and get filter by the filtration of blood. With the filtration, absorption of useful molecules also takes place. So the major function of the nephron during the filtration of blood are the absorption of useful substances, secretion of the ions, excretion of wastes and at last the urine formation takes place.
