Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano
by Olaudah Equiano
Paragraph 9 - Often did I think many of the inhabitants of the deep much more happy than myself. I envied them the freedom they enjoyed, and as often wished I could change my condition for theirs. Every circumstance I met with served only to render my state more painful, and heighten my apprehensions, and my opinion of the cruelty of the whites.

If you were making the point that Equiano should have done more than be kind to his own slaves - he should actually have freed them which of these quotes from Paragraph 9 of his own account as a slave would best support your thesis?
A. I envied them the freedom they enjoyed, and as often wished I could change my condition for theirs.
B. Every circumstance I met with served only to...heighten my apprehensions
C. Every circumstance I met with served only to...heighten my...opinion of the cruelty of the whites
