Epidemiology Question
a. Since the Aims of descriptive epidemiology are: to permit evaluation of trends in health and disease, provide a basis for planning, provision and evaluation of health services, identify problems to be studied by analytic methods and suggest areas that may be open for investigation.
What types of studies are most appropriate under Descriptive Epidemiology and why might it/they be beneficial or not?
b. There are generally 4 types of studies under the Descriptive Epidemiology umbrella: Correlational, Case Reports, Case Series, and Cross Sectional
How are they alike (if they are), how are they different (if they are) and in what type of situation might you opt for one over the others?
