In class this week we spoke about different imagining of futurities and how various media spaces take up them up (the genre of Afrofuturism, Indigenous TikTok, Queer fan fictions).
Try and think of type of media you've engaged with that does this kind of "future" thinking-- one that imagines a future or a reality that is more capacious for varied lived experiences, one that acknowledges and engages with the past while nodding to the future (it might look like a type of genre, a film, a fanfic, a show, podcast/radio, etc.). Please share how you think this media does this and feel free to share links/images or other examples of it.
