Document Summary

Throughout this chapter sandel brings up, discriminaion through the university system and if it is acceptable. Acceptable, as in pursuing social progress and diversity in the insituion. It is true that a university is a social insituion, and that many can learn from diferent ethnic/cultural backgrounds; however, when it comes down to it, everyone is there for the hope of a beter future inancially. If they have the academic requirements, then they should be let through. To have a certain requirement to be let into a university is fair to a certain extent. To be judged by your cultural or ethnic background is unjust. It is not fair to let someone in based on those grounds. If you have worked hard to get into that paricular school, and you follow the academic requirements, then the university should do their part and let them in.
