Looking at the learning pyramid we can see that there is a lot less information retained from passive learning than from active learning. The adult learning theory states that adults learn differently than children. With this being said we teach the way we were taught, in other words we teach adults the same way as we teach children. The major goal of teaching adults is to make a change. Pedagogy: instructor centric with focus on the content. It is more of an active learning style with a dialog. Readiness refers to: safety in terms of respect and not seeming judgey i. e. non-threatening and the environment is trustful. It also refers to how much attention people are paying.
