Army alpha selection and placement of us military soldiers; measures cognitive ability developed. Army beta non verbal test as some had bad literary skills. Job satisfaction, work motivation, meaningful work, positive side of work. Ww2: developed selection again to screen and place recruits, army general classification test, assessment center. Civil rights act: beneficial to us because it prevented discrimination which affected hiring practices.
