Dihybrid cross is the cross between parents who differ in two characters. The dihybrid cross was done by Gregor Johann Mendel in pea plant and he demonstrated the law of independent assortment. According to this law, the genes that code for a character do not influence each other, they are independent of one another and segregate individually into gametes.
