Assume there are nerve fibers that travel from the brain to the motor neurons in the spinal cord involved in the patellar reflex arc. Some of these nerve tracts stimulate the spinal neurons while others inhibit the same neurons. Hypothesize on the mechanism that would result in the mV differences obeserved between the reflexes with and without reinforcement.
