Tissue engineering is a promising approach to replace lost or damaged tissues and reduce the need for organ transplantations. organs (heart, lung, etc.) can be decellularized and repopulated with the patientâs own cells. Briefly describe the main pros and cons of this approach. How would it compare to using a synthetic biomaterial seeded with cells (pros and cons)?
