Thinking about how complex the interactions between differenttypes of immune system cells (T-helpers, T-Killers, Phagocytes,B-Cells etc.) are, it's fascinating how they all combine to get thedesired effect.
However, I assume that they didn't all evolve simultaneously! Isthere any way to tell which immune cell developed first or anytheories to that effect? Perhaps that question is too specific, inwhich case was it humoral or cell mediated immunity that developedfirst?
