Smoking is one of the hardest habits to break because of the potent addiction. Terry has tried to quit smoking twice. He is now back to smoking a pack a day, and really wants to quit again. Describe the Stages of Change model (refer back to the chapter on behavior change) to Terry and work out a plan that addresses the appropriate stages so that Terry's chances for success are increased. Review with Terry the various methods for quitting.
