Case study

You are an Epidemiologist at the South Australian Department of Health. A Doctor from the hospital calls to inform you that they are investigating a case of suspected Ebola.

Part A

Patient history

57 year old female who returned from an Ebola effected country 2 days prior. Presented to hospital with fever, confusion and headache. The case history indicates that she attended a funeral whilst overseas. She has no known contact with a case of Ebola.
