Describe how advancing a scientific idea -- including gaining priority for an individual discovery -- was influenced by the context of the time (that is, by institutional, cultural, social, religious and financial realities)

Using the fictionalized account in Cantor's Dilemma as a starting point, discuss at least one example that we have encountered in this course of how science affected society, and (also) an example of how society influenced science.

This is for a final essay, but I really need help on consistant ideologies to mdiscuss in the first part, so anyone have input on topic/paragraph ideas because I'm not sure how to tame this paper. The second part is just incase anyone who has read Cantor's Dilemma could give insight on how best to relate it to this paper. I really need some guidance. Thanks in advance!
