Suppose you have cloned a bacterial culture to produce insulin. Why would it be important to use the Bradford assay on a small sample of the insulin that your bacteria produces? Hint: when you produce a water-soluble protein in large quantities, is it easy to know how much protein you have just made?

Suppose you have extracted only one very small sample of protein from a rare plant. Why would it be important to NOT use the Bradford assay on that protein? Hint: Can you reuse the protein after it binds to Coomassie Blue?
