Chapter 19 discussed the process of chromosomal inheritance, mitosis and meiosis. Consider the statement "mitosis separates sister chromatids, but meiosis separates homologous chromosomes", is it a valid statement, why or why not? Mitosis follows a very precise process, but cytokinesis does not; why do you think a precise process is not required for cytokinesis?
