Describe an advantage and a disadvantage to using each of the following animal models to study male reproductive behavior.

a. White throated sparrows – these birds are seasonal breeders who show courtship behavior (singing to display territory, fighting with other males, displays to females) in the spring.

b. Ring doves

c. Tropical kingbirds – these birds are found in South America and are (for the most part) non-migratory. They respond to photoperiod like a white throated sparrow but can breed year round when resources are available.
