Nervous tissue- divided into glial cells and neurons. Goal of a neuron- to send signals down an axon into the terminal. 3 types of muscle tissue: cardiac, skeletal, smooth muscle. Skeletal- long, multinucleated, striated, voluntary, also called muscle fiber. Epithelial tissue- lines hollow tubes and organs, acts as a barrier, covers the body. Maintenance of a dynamic and stable state of the internal environment. Humans blood must be between 7. 35 and 7. 45 ph. Negative feedback system- a change in a controlled variable that leads to a response that is opposite of that change.
