Institutionalized sexism: the way different genders get hired. Glass ceiling: hierarchy where men tend to be on the top of the job (ceos) Women may get to higher jobs, but there is a cap that limits them getting there. Glass escalator: what happens with men who wants a job that is typically for women (nursing) Men can get pushed to better jobs bc of their gender; they don"t belong there. Women tend to be offered lower pay, and concentrated into pink-collar jobs (a job that is more female dominant i. e. nursing; an idea that men wouldn"t be interested in it and shouldn"t take the job) Patriarchy: a system of men exploiting women.
