Document Summary

Evaluate class 10: human b cells produce both mhc class 1 molecules and mhc class 2 molecules on their cell membranes. Both class i and class ii mhc molecules are produced by human b-cells on their cell membranes. B-cells need class i mhc molecules if it is a cancerous cell or a virally infected cell. When this occurs, the class i mhc protein on the infected cell binds to the cytotoxic t-cell with the t-cell receptor (tcr) and cd8 on it. The cytotoxic t-cell destroys the pathogen by inducing apoptosis on the infected cell. Mhc molecules to enhance phagocytosis and secrete antibodies. This process requires the helper t-cells and the cd4 on those helper t-cells. T-cell receptor (tcr) with cd4 on it bind to the class ii mhc protein and antigen fragment.
