Obedience more extreme social influence: we are born to obey (parents) and follows through government systems, people are very susceptible to this form of social influence. We conform for two reasons; information influence, normative influence. Information influence: influence from other people that is motivated by a desire to be correct and obtain accurate info. We rely on others as a source of information. Normative influence: influence from other people that is motivated by a desire to gain rewards or avoid punishment. Obey laws to avoid punishment, peer pressure.
