Increased volume of stool and frequency of pooping. Can cause: dehydration, loss of key electrolytes (sodium and potassium) Can result in low blood pressure, high heart rate, rapid breathing, delirium and then death. Transmission: ingestion of virus (e. g. rotavirus) or bacteria)e. g. Transmission: ingestion of virus (e. g. rotavirus) or bacteria)e. g. salmonella, e. coli) Treatment: oral rehydration therapy or salts (ort, ors) Handful of sugar, pinch of salt and liter of clean water. Part of a lung fills with fluid and cannot effectively exchange o2 or co2. Sometimes feelings as though they are drowning when lungs will with fluid. Can cause acute respiratory illness (ari) of the lower resp tract. Usually inhaling droplets of fluid after someone sneezes or coughs. Supportive care if its viral (e. g. breathing treatments, fever reduction, cough medication, rest, fluids etc. ) Transmission: parasite spread by bites of infected mosquitos. Can cause coma (cerebral malaria), anemia and death in severe cases.
