Ridiculous amounts of child deaths in sub-saharan african and. Most of the children will be under-5s . One third of deaths occur with neonates (first 28 days) and one third in infants (29 days to year old) Final one third between their first and fifth birthdays. Vast majority of pediatric deaths are due to preventable or treatable conditions. Diarrhea, pneumonia, malaria, measles and other infections, as well as malnutrition. Most deaths occur because babies are born too early and are underdeveloped. Complications during labor and delivery may result in asphyxia and birth trauma, infections as well. Can be fixed by a variety of effective interventions. Prenatal: immunizations, supplements, treatment of preventable diseases. Intranatal: clean delivery, management of breech births, antibiotics, early diagnosis of complications. Postnatal: newborn resuscitation, delayed umbilical clamping, breastfeeding, supplements, malaria prevention. Increase in the volume of stool and frequency of defecation. Can quickly cause dehydration and death in kids.
