KINE 2031 Lecture Notes - Lecture 8: Epicondyle, Synovial Joint, Ischial Tuberosity
Document Summary
Deep socket = acetabulum (top belongs to illium, bottom back ischium, front bottom pubis) Illiac crest: can feel anterior portion of it. Greater sciatic notch: distinct notch for sciatic nerve to come out (travels thru back of leg) medial view. Attaches oricular surface of sacrum to make sacroillium joint (hyaliene cartilage, synovial, but not much movement) --capsule surrounds it: pubis/pubic bone. Portion of pubis makes up boundary of large hole: obturator foramen (membrane for sa for attachment), allows nerves & arteries to travel down medial side of leg. Front of acetabulum = part of pubis bone. Medial portion of muscle has a thin tendon material to it called aponeurosis. Abdominal muscles come in layers most superficial = external oblique muscle. Inguinal ligament: term used in association with pubis --comes from anterior superior spine of ilium (front part of crest), comes across to tubercle on pubis = medial attachment for inguinal ligament (bottom edge of aponeurosis of external oblique muscle)
