Psy1102 lecture notes (week1 part2) (cid:706)a(cid:712)(cid:713)(cid:710)(cid:697) & (cid:706)(cid:713)(cid:710)(cid:712)(cid:713)(cid:710)(cid:697) l(cid:697)(cid:695)(cid:712)(cid:713)(cid:710)(cid:697) (cid:695)(cid:707)(cid:706)(cid:712)(cid:701)(cid:706)(cid:713)(cid:697)(cid:696) . A field that focuses on individual differences. As individuals, we differ from each other in compassion, height, creativity, etc. There are monozygotic twins they are identical twins that are 100% genetically similar. & there are dizygotic twins that are non-identical/ fraternal twins, that are 50% genetically similar. The conclusion here is that identical twins are more similar to each other than fraternal twins and also more than identical twins that were reared apart. However, even that got criticized because adoption agencies usually place separated twins in similar home environments. Also, if any 2 strangers spent hours comparing their behaviours and life history, they would probably find similarities among them. Based on these studies, adopted children are more similar in personality to their biological parents.
