Monozygotic, identical twins: one single egg, one sperm split into two, same sex, 100% genetically the same. Dizygotic, fraternal twins: two different eggs, two different sperms, same or different sex, 50% genetically same/different. Rationally if a characteristic had a genetic component then identical twins will be more likely to similar: alzheimer"s: One set of the identical twins gets it, the other has 60% chance of getting same disease. One set of the fraternal twins get it the other has a 30% chance of getting it.
