Document Summary

500-700 words, 3 pages double spaced: cite journals. Lakes change across seasons, works differently in places that don"t change seasonally: density is the same from the top to bottom of lake. When fall arrives cooler air temp will remove heat from top layer, lowers density of waterwhole column of water has same temp, breaks down thermo strat. Nutrients dtored at the bottom is being churned and moved and cycled: warm to cold: mixing, thermocline, metalimnion, winter: air temp is cold, forms ice layer at top, density of water is slightly lower. Invert thermo: bottom is warmer than top, colder layer is formed at top, gorvern dynamics in lake systems. Oxygen: solubility increases as it gets colder, salts are the opposite (things dissolve as you heat up, absence of bio acivity you can make predictions of. Mesotrophic: in lower layers there is more bio activity creates a lot of decomposition which consumes oxygen.
