If g0 not enough to get cell ready need to deal w/ cell, triggers apoptosis. At same time, also allows to trigger various mirna; to limit gene expression. Put damper on activities, concentrate on neatly and cleanly getting rid of cell. Increases expression of bax and apaf-1 by being a gene regulating protein, make sure transcription and translation occurs. Nah, if unsuccessful in cell cycle then p53 definitively involved. An altered gene that promotes uncontrolled cell division. Gene that facilitates the cell having uncontrolled cell division; one of the hallmarks of cancer (not absolute condition, just frequent observation) In some cases, the mutation isn"t in an oncogene, but something that is part of the cell cycle regulation.
