Domestic repercussions: the cold war at home. In 19__ the world was filled with tensions. Britain and france wanted to restore oversea empires. Us wanted to open up world for us trade and investment. Stalin was unable to impose soviet control in only one eastern european country in 1945: In every other eastern european country, communists and communist parties consisted of a small community, population. But stalin still infiltrated the government structures. And gradually squeezing them out, over the next few years, through manipulative excuses and techniques to point where only communists remained. Only in yugoslavia was stalin unable to assert complete control. Which is ironic, b/c in yugoslavia, the problem was not too few communists, but rather, too many! During wwii, yugoslav communist guerillas under tito gained widespread popular support as resistance fighters against the nazis! So, when the war ended, the communist movement came into power independently, not as a result of soviet interference .
