Document Summary

Dicers do not like double stranded rna they cut dsrna into pieces 20-22 nucleoides long: example of why the purple lower did not turn more purple. Micro rna is from the nucleus: turns down a signal: cell makes dsrna, dicer chops it up = post transcripional downregulaion, shuts down a transcript if you don"t need it any more. Sirna = small interfering rna: comes from outside the cell (if it comes from inside the cell = micro rna) Protein synthesis trna is the adapter going form the mrna to the amino acid. Code degeneracy: except for met and trp, every amino acid is encoded by >1 triplet (codon). The code table is not random: there are themes running through it: Divide the table in half look at second posiion of codon purines and pyrimidines. If the second posiion is a/g (purine) the aa is polar.
