The producion of a sense impression relaing to one sense or part of the body by simulaion of another sense or part of the body: ex. numbers/leters have their own colours, months having a spaial layout or colour. Study links synaesthesia with colour fridge magnets: might develop as they play learn with the magnets as children, and their memory forms the cross modal associaions. Retrospecive memory: remembering what happened in the past. Prospecive memory: remembering to do things in the future. Prospecive memory: remembering to carry out some intended future acion without explicit reminders. Relevant to daily plans/goals: two types of prospecive memory. Acion to perform when certain event occurs: easier. Remembering to perform an acion when the appropriate circumstances arise: ex. passing along a message when you see someone. Less thought is given to the future task. Acion to perform ater certain ime interval or at pre-speciied ime: harder.
