Difficult to understand, there is lots going on beneath the surface. Talks about the meaning of life, immortality and the nature of the devine. As well as the theory of forms, and one of his great myths, the republic is way longer then the phedo. Plato"s dialogue on the soul, a phycologist is someone who studies the soul, but it"s not necessarily a religious term. (psuche) (phyche) Talks about the world"s soul (the total of all its energy) 1: physical principal of motion (why things move) (energy) We call something alive because its capable of moving itself. Things fall too, the world of living and non-living move, and that"s why he talks about the worlds soul. Hindu word for the soul, its connected to our word atmosphere, comes from breath, same for the soul. Not necessarily a spiritual thing, but it"s a principal of life.
