Mental illness is more severe and has an impairment on our daily funcion. Relaionship between mental health, mental illness, physical health. Far more women are diagnosed with depression than men but men don"t tend to go the doctor as much. Income afects how we think about mental health. Most stressful event: exams but relaionships are more stressful. Moving away from home and money is stressful. Involves low energy for a period of ime. Emoions are up and down all the ime. Low mood depression that goes on for about 2 years. Very fearful of being in relaionships or going out in public. Chronic, fear, anxiousness, uneasiness, shortness of breath, dry mouth, hard to stay sill. Someone has experienced some kind of trauma , ind yourself reliving the trauma. Causes shortness of breath, new situaion reminds you of it. Trying to distract yourself from another type of pain. Physical response in the body distracts from the other kind of pain.
