Progressive pedagogy (education) - schools are like mall, multiple intelligences. Curriculum - activities for children are geared towards their interests (montasorri?) Idea of students being motivated instead of pushing things onto them. Credentialism, grade in ation, and the disengaged student (eg. ivory tower blues - a university system in crisis) Credentialism pushes parents to push children into going to post secondary. Educational jobs - can work at jobs that people are over quali ed for. Credential in ation - employers up the bar to require graduate or upper degrees to qualify. Ivory tower blues - led to great in ation in high school - disengaged students - increased numbers - end up in university when it becomes a huge differences/transition. With credentialism many students attending uni only go because they need to in order to ain a career meanwhile do not really want to be in school.
