We tend to have a systematic bias on how we make decisions about many different things in our lives. People are aware that their bias influences the decisions that they make. But a lot of the times, we don"t like to admit / be aware of how our behavior is influenced by our biases. Even if they were not given info, people were biased to thinking that the male was still a doctor. Even in the face of fact (where you explicitly say the woman is the doctor) people. Still say the male is more likely to be the doctor. Was true for both female and male participants ex: systemic biases affect women"s careers in science. Tendency to think that woman are not as good at math as men are: tends to affect how women think about their own math abilities and how others think about women"s math abilities.
