Onboarding / socialization- similar to an orientation program, it is orientation for new managers. Onboarding happens within one day to six months, while socialization is a part of onboarding. Purpose is to create a more comfortable environment for employees (think about cultural barriers that many employees face). This helps the adaption of many things within the organization. Process by which new employees become effective members of a company. It is familiarizing new employer (**missed it see. When it comes to orientation it is just one part of onboarding.
