Nets are released by neutrophils to control microbial infections. Blocks the spread of bacteria with a net of material to keep the bacteria in one place. This can happen in cells by: microbe comes to the cell surface and the surface membrane engulfs it. The phagosome then links with the lysosome to form the phagolysosome and is digested (oxidation). The cell is destroyed to form the net: natural killer cell: it doesn"t have to be taught to kill. All normal cells have a natural killer cell activating ligand. It will kill any normal cell in the body until it is turned off. (mhc class 1 molecule present on all normal cell surfaces. ) The natural killer cells function wanders through the body and kill what"s not normal: humoral factors: complement pathway, alternative pathway: pathogen surfaces; the pamp activates the complement in a different way.
