Drugs that act on various neurotransmitters to produce visual hallucination and out-of-body experiences. Primary psycho-biological action: marked alterations in cognition, perception, and mood. Heightened awareness (and distortion) of sensory input accompanied by clarity and diminished control over experience. These are pain killers and those that mimic endorphins. Addictive because it makes you feel better, your body gets used to the feeling of feeling better. Which means that it is supposed to be used so as to release after a period of many hours. People however, have figured out how to inject it so that everything is experienced faster. Inject in eyeball (optic nerve) because fastest route to brain. These drugs affect the central nervous system as a stimulant and depressant. These drugs produce a sense of calm and well-being. They are tranquilizing and sedating drugs that are often used for anxiety and sleep disorders.
