Symmetry: a histogram is said to be symmetric if, when we draw a vertical line down the center of the histogram, the 2 sides are identical in shape and size. Skewed distribution: a positively skewed distribution has a tail which extends in the positive direction (large score values), a negatively skewed distribution has a tail which extends in the negative direction (small score values).
