Majority of work done in group, as opposed to being a side project. Less stable membership, membership not exclusive work on many teams at once. Temporary employee directed/ controlled response to inefficiency of managerially set teams. 1 - forming ( if y"all skip this stage you suffer, mostly do this when time is of essence) Uncertainty about other members, purpose, structure, roles. Members get to know one another by sharing info about selves unrelated to task. Some teams remain stuck at this stage, performance suffers.
