• Primary and secondary prevention of CVD

▪ Mechanism of action
• Same as all other uses!
• PLATELET AGGREGATION, inhibiting COX
o Irreversible effect for full platelet life (7-10 days)

▪ Units represent activity of drug

▪ Treats/prevents thrombosis
▪ Increases antithrombin activity
• Inactivates Xa get it that’s why there’s Xa in the drug
