Language faculty: a way of referring to all of the cognitive abilities that give rise to language in humans. Set of abilities that lets you go back and forth between speech sounds and their meanings. Converting physical signals like sound of visual signs to thoughts. When people say the mind has structure, they mean each cognitive ability works in a very specific way.
