Businesses administrate personality tests to place employees in the right role. An issue with personality testing is all the data is self-reported data. Another issue is the tests are long and vague. Knowing your personality type helps you realize your strengths and weaknesses in relationships. It also helps you understand your partner"s perspective. Personality is characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that make a person unique. Some fundamental characteristics of personality: consistency- for example, you ask your friend is something is wrong when they act in ways that are not consistent with ways that they normally act, psychological and physiological- our personality is both. Our personality is influenced by our environment and relationships (psychological) and recent studies suggest that some of our personality traits are innate. For example we are different from our siblings even though we grew up in the same environment (physiological): influences our behaviors and actions- our personality causes us to act in a particular way.
