Pangenesis: gemmules carry info from parts of body to sexual organs. In order for offspring to have a brain, heart or other organs gemmules from these areas must go to the reproductive organs. Inheritance of acquired characteristics: offspring will gain a skill as a result of pangenesis. Preformationism: tiny version of an adult exists inside the egg or sperm. Blending inheritance: the offspring is a blend of both parents. Without cells = no spontaneous formation of life. Why one bird has a certain beak and another has a different beak. Binary fission: copy dna and split into tow identical cells. 1 bacteria = 10 bil bacteria in 10 hours. Binary fission allows prokaryotes to quickly and efficiently grow their population without the expense of too much energy. Homologous chromosome: identical chromosomes in genetic loci and centromere placement.
