Cybercrime any criminal acion perpetrated primarily through the use of a computer. Cybercriminals an individual who uses computers, networks, and the internet to perpetrate crime. Major categories of viruses: boot-sector, logic/time bomb, worms, script & macro, e-mail, encrypion. Boot-sector viruses execute when a computer boots up. Logic bomb/time bombs execute when certain condiions or dates are reached. Worms spread on their own with no human interacion needed. Script and macro viruses series of commands with malicious intent. E-mail viruses spread as atachments to e-mail, ofen using address books. Encrypion viruses hold iles hostage by encryping them; ask for ransom to unlock them. Polymorphic virus- a virus that changes its virus signature (the binary patern that makes the virus ideniiable) every ime it infects a new ile. This makes it more diicult for anivirus programs to detect the virus. Muliparite virus literally meaning mulipart virus; a type of computer virus that atempts to infect computers using more than one method.
