He thinks this is happening in various ways. There isn"t contestation about gender norms but rather sexual norms compared to what we saw decades ago. The idea of male homosexuals who were seen as feminine men. There is a greater sense of community based around sexuality. Cultural: production and circulation of a certain type of images.
