Background and context

DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) is a long, double-stranded structure that is packed inside the nucleus in eukaryotic cells. The whole genome contains billions of base pairs, it is required for a cell to organize this information such that it can be kept inside the nucleus in a confined space. It is also essential while organizing the DNA that the accessibility can be ensured for the required genes to express themselves.
